Brief History & Timeline

2018

Initial conceptualization of the business began.

2019

Developed the marketing plan and business model.

2020

Started construction of the production facility, but operations were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2024

Construction resumed, but the facility sustained damage from a typhoon.

2025

Despite several trials and setbacks, the business is now moving forward with renewed determination.

Why the Name “Coco Friends”?

The founders met through shared interests in the coconut industry—particularly in products like cocopeat, coco rags, and coco mats in Callan. During a visit, one of the founders was offered a traditional herbal drink known as Pito-Pito for a stomach-ache. After experiencing relief, this sparked the idea to develop and commercialize traditional remedies through the company. This discovery, combined with their coconut-based ventures, led to the creation of Coco Friends, with the vision of innovating health and wellness products using indigenous knowledge.
